Olerai Brings Rotary News to Kitengela.

The Rotary Club of Kitengela this month launched a monthly club newsletter. The newsletter named Olerai is derived from a Maasai word meaning Acacia tree. The tree is indigenous to the Kajiado region where the club is based, and under its shade is where the community traditionally sits to receive news.

As he announced the August issue, club president Dr. Patrisio Njeru stated that the Olerai newsletter would be an avenue to keep the members of the club up-to-date on all club happenings. He further added that the newsletter “is an important tool to nurture and maintain connections with potential members in the community who are interested in joining Rotary”. According to the club’s Public Relations director Daniel Wanjuki, the club intends to continue working on strengthening its communications to members as well as the local and international community. Towards this end, Wanjuki reveals that the club is working to launch a website in the coming month.
